Albania registered a budget surplus of 10.6 billion leks ($84.75 million/77.6 million euro) for the first nine month of 2016, compared to a deficit of 18.5 billion leks a year ago, provisional data from the finance ministry showed.
The improvement is mainly driven by higher tax revenues, the data indicated.

Total revenue rose 6.8% to 298.1 billion leks, while total expenditure shrank 3.4% to 287.5 billion leks.
In August, Albania posted a surplus of 13.7 billion leks versus a deficit of 16.3 billion leks for the like period of 2015.
