The Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) is a joint stock company with special status and has 16 members. The trading takes place on the Free Market (OTC), where 476 companies are listed and the Official Market, which lists 11 investment funds and three companies. Listing requirements for the Official Market refer to operations of the issuer in the past few years, size of the capital, audited financial statements, size of the class of securities, number of shareholders and number of securities in public hands. Trading with bonds is expected to start in 2007, first with government bonds.
