The Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia (BSE) currently has 81 members, including the majority of the country’s banks and financial brokerage houses. The bourse top decision making body is the general meeting of shareholders. The BSE is managed by a board of directors and a chief executive officer. The bourse operates under rules approved by the shareholders and by the board of directors. The trading takes place on an Official Market and an Unofficial Market but they both are segmented according to the different types of securities listed. Official Trading Hours: 09:30-13:00 Main Indices: SOFIX Index (16 blue chip index), BG40 Index. Instruments Traded: Equities; corporate, municipal and mortgage bonds; government securities; compensation instruments, units of mutual funds and rights.
