The Slovenia Times, the only Slovenian English-language newspaper, and Energetika.NET, a business portal focusing on energy issues, are organizing a conference on investment opportunities opening up in the energy sectors of the Western Balkans countries. This will be the first such conference in the region.

Investment Conference 2008: Focus on the Western Balkans - Opportunities in the Energy Sector

The conference will take place on 6 and 7 November 2008 (Thursday and Friday) in Kempinski Palace Hotel in Portorož on the Slovenian coast. An informal reception will be organized the evening before the conference, on 5 November.

The aim of the IC 2008 Energy conference is to survey the energy sector in the region and to identify the investment opportunities in the individual Western Balkans markets. The conference will also focus on regulatory environment to help the participants understand the peculiarities of doing business and investing in the energy sector across the region. Companies that have already established their presence in the region and invested in energy projects will share their experiences, allowing the participants to gain a deeper insight into the investment climate in the Western Balkans.
