Croatian regional gas supplier Energo has bought 99.9% of local Amga Adria, an authorised concessionaire for gas distribution in three Croatian municipalities, for 12.5 million kuna ($2.3 million/1.7 million euro). Via the acquisition, Energo has expanded its operations outside the northern city of Rijeka, since Amga Adria distributes gas in Cavle, Kostrena and Kraljevica. The three municipalities, located on the northern Adriatic coast, hold 0.03 %t of Amga Adria each. Energo bought the majority stake in Amga Adria from Italian utility AMGA Azienda Multiservizi S.p.A and Italian investment company Finest. Amga Adria (www.amga-adria.hr), set up in 2000, was awarded a 30-year gas supply concession in the same year. Its assets include a 40-km gas pipeline network and two gas production facilities.
