March 11 (SeeNews) - Four of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX posting the biggest gain, at 1.35% to 813.81 points, bourse data showed.
SOFIX was mostly spurred on by IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG], which surged 8.50% to 66.40 levs. Additionally, it was supported by agricultural leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC], which added 1.89% to 1.08 levs.
Shelly Group also generated most of the day's turnover, or some 2.72 million levs ($1.52 million/1.39 million euro), after 40,937 shares changed hands.
Total turnover on the Sofia bourse soared to 3.17 million levs on Monday from 723,445 levs on Friday.
Alongside Shelly Group and Elana Agrocredit, a 2.70% increase in pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:SCOM] to 3.80 levs buoyed the broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. The index ended the session 0.89% higher at 165.84 points.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose by 0.27% to 813.80 points. It was driven up by the gains at Shelly Group and Elana Agrocredit, coupled with a 0.65% climb in the Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE] to 15.55 levs.
Cargo drone developer Dronamics's special purpose vehicle Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON], which leapt 7.45% to 2.74 levs, was the top performer in the BEAMX. The index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, advanced by 1.25% to 99.54 points.
In contrast, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, edged down 0.06% to 190.33 points. It was held back by a 0.30% slip in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.34 levs.
