February 23 (SeeNews) - All five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended in the green on Friday, with the blue-chip SOFIX edging up 0.08% to 785.45 points, bourse data showed.
The top blue-chip performers were agricultural leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC], which increased by 1.87% to 1.09 levs, and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], which climbed by 1.54% to 2.64 levs.
Elana Agrocredit and BREF also boosted the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The biggest gain in both indices, however, was posted by poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6], which surged by 13.33% to 1.70 levs.
Overall, the BGBX40 went up 0.10% to 162.22 points, whereas the BGTR30 added 0.49% to 809.04 points.
Gradus also generated the majority of the day's turnover, or some 21.99 million levs ($12.18 million/11.24 million euro), as 12.94 million shares traded.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse soared to roughly 28.7 million levs on Friday from 1.07 million levs on Thursday.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, climbed by 0.35% to 192.11 points after the growth at BREF and a 0.66% increase in Super Borovetz Fund REIT [BUL:SBPF] to 3.04 levs.
Finally, the BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, posted the day's highest rise, of 0.57% to 97.37 points. It was spurred on by MFG Invest [BUL:MFG], which leapt 5.77% to 3.30 levs, and organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO], which advanced by 2.00% to 20.40 levs.
