May 8 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.34% higher at 1,003.58 points on Wednesday, as industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.
Messer closed 2.01% higher at 24,483 dinars. A total of 120 Messer shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 2.9 million dinars.
At the other end, Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] was the day's only blue chip loser, shedding 0.21% to 1,901 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also rose, closing 0.32% higher at 2,209.94 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse rose to 11.4 million dinars ($104,500/97,300 euro) on Wednesday from 3.5 million dinars last Tuesday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 7.2 million dinars of Wednesday's turnover.
