April 25 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Stopanska Banka [MSE:STB] said on Thursday it generated a net profit of 861.9 million denars ($15 million/14 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024, up 23.3% on the year.
Net interest income was 21.4% higher at 1.6 billion denars in the review period, whereas net fee and commission income rose 2.9% to 213.4 million denars, the bank said in an interim financial statement.
Stopanska Banka's total assets decreased to 129.3 billion denars at the end of the March, from 131.4 billion denars at the end of 2023.
Loans and advances to clients other than banks rose to 92.36 billion denars at the end of March from 92.31 billion denars at the end of 2023, while deposits from customers other than banks dropped to 96.9 billion denars from 100.1 billion denars.
Stopanska Banka Skopje's shares last traded at an average price of 1,592 denars on Wednesday on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), bourse data showed.
