March 7 (SeeNews) - Moldova’s producer prices in agriculture decreased by 17.8% year-on-year in 2023, driven by a fall in the price of plant products, the statistical office said.
Producer prices for plant products dropped by 22.2% last year, with cereals, oilseeds, and grain legumes leading the decline, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a press release on Wednesday.

Producer prices for animal products inched up by an annual 2.7% in 2023.
In the fourth quarter alone, producer prices for plant products fell 28% on the year, while prices of animal products edged up by 0.2%.
In 2022, Moldova recorded a 13.6% increase in agricultural producer prices.
