April 25 (SeeNews) - The Croatian unit of German supermarket chain Lidl said on Thursday it has opened a logistics and distribution centre in the municipality of Kriz near Zagreb, following a 120 million euro ($128 million) investment.
This is Lidl's largest investment since its entry into the Croatian market 18 years ago, Boris Lozic, CEO of Lild Hrvatska, said in a note on the company’s Linkedin profile.
The new facility is the third and largest Lidl logistics and distribution centre in the Adriatic country.
It covers 167,000 square metres with a capacity for 39,000 pallets.
The centre took more than two years to build.
