April 25 (SeeNews) - Gross written premiums (GWPs) of insurance companies operating in Kosovo in the first quarter of 2024 increased to 40.5 million euro ($43 million), up from 34.2 million euro in the same period a year earlier, central bank data showed on Thursday.
The combined net profit of Kosovo insurers almost tripled to 5.1 million euro at the end of March, from 1.8 million euro a year earlier, the central bank said in a monthly figures report.
The assets held by Kosovo insurance companies increased 9% on the year to 314.8 million euro at the end of March.
