April 24 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended lower on Wednesday, when the regular turnover fell to just 837,400 euro ($895,000) from 1.0 million euro a day earlier.
The 21-share benchmark CROBEX dipped 0.05% to 2,785.53 points.
The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went down 0.32% to 1,685.35 points.
Preferred shares of power transformers manufacturer Koncar Distributivni i Specijalni Transformatori (Koncar D&ST) [ZSE KODT2] generated the biggest daily turnover, 251,000 euro. The shares, which are not part of the main share indices, soared 2.08% to close at 1,470 euro.
Among the blue chips, hotel owner and manager Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the biggest daily turnover, 93,000 euro. Its shares added 0.38% to 5.22 euro.
Shares of confectionery producer Zvecevo [ZSE:ZVCV] were the biggest daily gainer. Its share price jumped 44.76% to 15.20 euro in a turnover of 27,065 euro on the news that its majority shareholder, businessman Zdravko Alvir, finalised on April 22 a transaction to sell his stake in it for 6.65 million euro.
