March 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian agricultural leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC] said on Friday that it signed deals to finance agricultural land purchases worth a total of 3.68 million levs ($2.05 million/1.88 million euro) in February, compared to 578,681 levs booked in the same month of 2023.
Elana Agrocredit financed the purchase of 140.3 hectares (ha) of land last month, up from 24.8 ha a year earlier, the company said in a regular activity report.

Month-on-month, the value of deals grew nearly fivefold in February, from 747,205 levs in January, with the financed land volume surging from 30.1 ha.
The financial leasing company agreed 18 land purchase financing deals last month, compared to 7 in the same month of 2023 and 11 in January.
As of 1600 CET on Friday, shares in Elana Agrocredit traded 1.85% lower at 1.06 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
