March 5 (SeeNews) - NTT DATA Romania said on Tuesday it has signed an agreement with German automotive group BMW to establish a joint venture company in the northwestern Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca.
"The BMW Group is thus continuing to expand its global network for its corporate IT and is securing talent and experience in the software sector," NTT DATA Romania said in a press release.

The agreement is pending review and approval by the relevant authorities. The JV is expected to hire around 250 software developers by the end of 2024 and plans to reach a four-digit number of employees by 2027.
The joint venture will be built upon NTT DATA's extensive expertise in agile software development and its strong local network within the Romanian IT community, NTT DATA Romania said.
The collaboration between BMW Group and NTT DATA spans over three decades, with the JV contract marking the next significant step in their partnership, NTT Data Romania noted.
