April 23 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.43% lower at 998.23 points on Tuesday, as industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Messer closed 2.50% lower at 25,029 dinars in a volume of 35 shares.
At the same time, aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] led the blue-chip gainers, adding 8.33% to 6,500 dinars.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the day's largest turnover. A total of 8,369 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 7.1 million dinars. NIS closed 1.85% lower at 851 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index rose, closing 0.11% higher at 2,172.06 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse rose to 56.9 million dinars ($517,900/485,900 euro) on Tuesday from 7.9 million dinars on Monday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 3.4 million dinars of Tuesday's turnover.
